Applies to: An already installed MissionLINK 700 system using the terminal and portal shown in quick-start guide PN 3402174-1 Rev B. Confirm the label and firmware before following it. MissionLINK 200 and marine VesseLINK are separate products; do not assume identical menus, wiring or indicators.

|---|---|
| Local portal will not open | Use your installed Wi-Fi network or an authorized computer on one of the three LAN ports. The separately marked WAN port is for an upstream network and is not the same connection. On the terminal network, open http://portal.thaleslink exactly; do not append .com. Use your current authorized login. Wi-Fi OFF alone does not prove satellite failure when using Ethernet. |
| Portal works; internet does not | Read Dashboard or Alerts first, then Status → Service for detected satellites and signal bars. The quick-start guide calls for more than one available bar; bars alone are not proof that internet data is authorized. Observe an unobstructed sky view from a safe location, without touching or approaching the transmitting antenna. Record any SIM or service alert for the airtime provider. |
Work through these checks
Identify the lights
Let the normal startup finish. On this terminal, System flashing green means booting/busy. Satellite flashing green means acquiring; solid green indicates normal status, while solid blue specifically indicates satellite data passing. A red fault light needs the corresponding alert, not a guess from color alone.
What the result means: Leave antenna installation, DC wiring and transmitting-terminal commissioning to qualified personnel. Do not alter Distress settings, expose account identifiers, install firmware or factory-reset a managed terminal as a trial. Do not use an emergency call to test it. Red critical faults or repeated registration failure belong with Thales and your airtime provider.

Test only approved data use
If the system has no blocking alert and your organization approves the airtime cost, try one small ordinary webpage. Avoid speed tests, video and large updates on a metered link. Note whether the local portal opens, whether internet works, and which upstream path was in use. A working local portal with failed internet narrows the fault to service, registration or routing; it does not identify a failed antenna by itself.

What to tell support
Keep the model, software version, alert text, LED pattern and local/internet comparison privately. Send IMEI, SIM details or full logs only through the provider’s secure support channel.
Common questions
Where is the full user manual?
The local management portal has Help links to the user and installation manuals. Use the document matching your system. Thales’ customer service can arrange authorized documentation access; an installation manual does not authorize an untrained person to commission a transmitter.
