Become a satellite technician

Become a satellite technician

Explore a path from beginner to supervised field work, with official training and local rules. A course certificate is not legal permission to work.

Your path into the field

  1. Choose a specialty: satellite TV, satellite internet, mobile terminals or home networking.
  2. Learn RF basics, coax, grounding, signal testing, networking and model-specific manuals.
  3. Check training, local rules, insurance and provider authorization. Height and electrical work need proper supervision.
  4. Build supervised experience; document symptoms, measurements, safe repairs and customer handovers.
