Applies to: SKY Brasil Mini linked to SKY Media Center, as depicted in the combined receiver manual. Not UK Sky Q Mini.
Match your symptom
| What you see | What to do next |
|---|---|
| Media Center works; Mini fails | Check the Mini room and installed link. |
| Both receivers fail | Use SKY Brasil main signal guidance. |
Work through these checks
Compare the two rooms
On Media Center, tune the channel that fails on Mini. If Media Center also reports no satellite signal, this may be a main reception issue; use SKY’s “Ausência de sinal” path. If it works, keep the diagnosis to the Mini room.
What the result means: A working main box points away from a whole-home dish outage.
Separate TV input from Mini reception
Confirm the Mini is powered and select its actual HDMI input on the TV. If no Mini menu appears, check TV input and accessible HDMI/power plugs before considering satellite wiring. If Mini menus appear with a SKY reception message, write down the exact wording.
What the result means: A blank TV input is not proof of satellite signal loss.
Inspect only safe installed room links
The SKY manual shows a NETWORK (SWM) connection between Mini and the Media Center system. Check only visible, reachable, dry cable ends on your existing setup. Do not move coax between ports, add a splitter, or treat NETWORK (SWM) as ordinary Ethernet. Use SKY support for a persistent room-only failure.
What the result means: Report room, exact message and comparison result to SKY.
When to stop and get help
Leave dish alignment, outdoor cable, SWM distribution and powered adapter repair to SKY or a qualified technician. Do not open the receiver.
What to tell support
Media Center and Mini model labels, exact screen messages, affected channels, TV input and visible link status.
