Work through these checks
Identify the installed phone path
Manual 98-131305-B pages 23–25 identifies one analog Phone/Fax connector and two PoE LAN connectors for IP handsets or other IP equipment. Observe the existing setup and record which phone fails. Keep cables and service settings unchanged; a computer working on LAN is a different test from analog telephone ringing.
What the result means: Separate the connected phone interface, incoming call type and provider-assigned number. Working data or outgoing voice alone does not prove that incoming calls will ring the intended handset.
Read incoming call-type acceptance
Read SETTINGS > Phone/Fax for the analog port, or SETTINGS > IP handsets > Call settings for the installed IP handset. Pages 68 and 77 explain that selecting Standard accepts the Standard number, while selecting both accepts either available call type. Record existing choices and ask the administrator to compare the number used by the caller. Do not enable a different service or change billing preferences as a blind test.
What the result means: Separate the connected phone interface, incoming call type and provider-assigned number. Working data or outgoing voice alone does not prove that incoming calls will ring the intended handset.
Compare provider numbers and call records
PHONE BOOK > Mobile numbers is a locally entered reference: page 52 says these numbers are not supplied in the terminal at delivery and must come from the airtime provider. An empty list is not proof that the subscription has no number. Use the provider account record, terminal CALLS history and the IP handset’s separate call log to distinguish no incoming attempt from an unanswered call. Share numbers and account details privately with authorized support; preserve forwarding and barring settings.
What the result means: Separate the connected phone interface, incoming call type and provider-assigned number. Working data or outgoing voice alone does not prove that incoming calls will ring the intended handset.
When to stop and get help
Park safely before inspecting a vehicle installation. Use authorized LAN access, preserve ongoing communications and stay outside the powered antenna’s 0.6 m exclusion area above and beside it. Do not open units or change wiring.
What to tell support
Save exact model, software, antenna ID, Dashboard stages, event times and complete report. Keep SIM/account identifiers private.
