Work through these checks
Read Dashboard stages
On an authorized LAN computer open the configured terminal address; the unchanged default is 192.168.0.1. Record Searching, Registering, Ready or Data active separately from antenna Tracking. Tracking means a signal lock, not an active internet session. Registration can take several minutes.
What the result means: Keep the stages distinct.
Separate active and past events
HELPDESK > Event list shows active events. Event log also retains past events and normal informational phases. Record ID, severity, text and time; do not treat every old log entry as a current defect. A green power light means power OK; flashing green is startup, flashing orange shutdown.
What the result means: Give support both event views.
Save a complete support report
Use HELP DESK > Generate report and wait until generation finishes before saving; it normally takes about a minute, sometimes longer. Extended status shows the antenna ID, air-interface state and ongoing session/call states. Send the report privately to the authorized distributor. Airtime issues belong to the airtime provider.
What the result means: Save evidence before disruptive tests.
When to stop and get help
Park safely before inspecting a vehicle installation. Use authorized LAN access, preserve ongoing communications and stay outside the powered antenna’s 0.6 m exclusion area above and beside it. Do not open units or change wiring.
What to tell support
Save exact model, software, antenna ID, Dashboard stages, event times and complete report. Keep SIM/account identifiers private.
Common questions
Is Self test the same as generating a report?
No. Revision B says Self test reboots the terminal and terminates ongoing calls and data sessions. Report generation is the evidence-collection path. Any rebooting test needs the owner’s planned interruption, not an accidental click during active use.
Does Position acquired mean that registration failed?
Not by itself. Manual page 48 says the network can hide the coordinates while reporting Position acquired: the position was received but is not displayed. That message can also appear before network registration. Read the separate Status field. No position fix is different: without a fix the terminal cannot register with the SAS. Do not change positioning settings merely to reveal coordinates.
What should be recorded for No GPS fix?
Page 134 identifies events 01300–01309 as a position fix not yet obtained and notes that acquisition can sometimes take up to 10 minutes. Record elapsed time, the exact event and sky obstruction from a safe ground location; keep clear of the powered antenna. A GPS module error (00300–00309, page 133) instead requires the distributor. Page 121 makes positioning-system selection conditional on installed terminal hardware; ask the distributor before changing it.
