Applies to: Tata Play Binge+ hybrid set-top box in India; app-only trouble while a subscribed live satellite channel works.
Match your symptom
| What you see | What to do next |
|---|---|
| No receiver picture | Check power and TV HDMI input first. |
| Live channels also fail | Use the separate Tata Play no-signal checklist. |
| Only one app fails | Check that app’s sign-in and entitlement. |
Work through these checks
Confirm the split
Open a live channel included in your Tata Play pack, then return to the home screen and try one internet app. If the channel works, the satellite path is at least carrying that channel; it does not prove every channel is entitled. If neither picture works, start with TV input and power.
What the result means: App-only failures do not justify dish alignment.
Test the home internet
In the Binge+ network settings, verify the selected Wi-Fi network and connection. Test a phone on that same Wi-Fi, with mobile data disabled for the test. If both fail, troubleshoot the home internet provider. If the phone works, reconnect Binge+ using Tata Play’s Wi-Fi setup path.
What the result means: A working satellite channel does not establish that Wi-Fi is online.
Check the app and account
If internet works, compare two apps. For one affected app, inspect its current sign-in, service status and entitlement through Tata Play or that app’s official support. For all apps, use Tata Play Binge subscriber help. Avoid repeated factory resets, which can erase settings and will not fix a subscription issue.
What the result means: Record the exact app error for support.
When to stop and get help
Stop for exposed wiring, water or dish access. Contact Tata Play for box or account faults and the home internet provider for a confirmed Wi-Fi outage.
What to tell support
Binge+ model; working channel; affected apps and exact error; Wi-Fi network result; second-device result; subscription status.
Common questions
Can I fix an app problem by moving the dish?
No. Apps require internet; first check Wi-Fi and the app account.
