EDISION PICCO S2 pro: Wi-Fi connects but apps fail

Check the receiver’s built-in Wi-Fi, home network and individual app before changing satellite settings or installing software.

Applies to: Check PICCO S2 pro and product code 01-07-0028 on the label. PICCO S2, PICCOLLINO and terrestrial PICCO models have separate manuals and software. Record the installed software version from the Information menu.

What you seeWhat to do next
Network name is missingScan for Wi-Fi again and check the router is broadcasting the intended network.
Every internet app failsCompare home internet on another device and check network information; association alone does not prove internet access.
Only one app failsDo not change satellite tuning, buy a dongle or factory-reset the receiver for an isolated app failure.

Work through these checks

  1. Select the correct Wi-Fi network

Open Menu → Media/Internet → Network Setting → Network → WIFI. Press the red button to scan, select your own SSID and enter its current password. Read the connection result rather than assuming an old saved password still works. If the network is missing, check the router is on and use a safe indoor location with a better signal; do not change satellite cables.

What the result means: Continue only after identifying the intended network.

  2. Check network information and another device

In Network Setting, compare DHCP with the documented home-network configuration. The manual uses DHCP On for automatic addressing where the router provides DHCP. Preserve intentionally assigned static settings; do not invent IP addresses, gateways or DNS values. Test a webpage on another device using the same Wi-Fi. If that also fails, resolve the router or internet service first. If it works, keep the investigation on the receiver’s connection.

What the result means: A network association and a working internet connection are different results.

  3. Isolate the app before an update

Try another built-in internet app and record whether it loads. One failed service with other apps working points toward that service or app rather than the dish. Check the official PICCO S2 pro software list against your installed version and the named issue; a listed fix is not a guarantee that every app works today. Ask EDISION if unsure which update applies. Never load PICCO S2 or PICCOLLINO software, erase channel settings or select Software & Loader merely to troubleshoot Wi-Fi.

What the result means: Do not change satellite tuning, buy a dongle or factory-reset the receiver for an isolated app failure.

When to stop and get help

Stop for a damaged power supply, overheating or an update that fails repeatedly. Contact EDISION or the dealer with the model and symptoms. Leave dish access, antenna alignment, shared cabling and receiver repairs to a qualified technician.

What to tell support

Record model 01-07-0028, software version, Wi-Fi connection result, whether another device has internet, which apps work and the exact failed-app message. Share no network passwords or subscription credentials.

Common questions

Do I need a USB Wi-Fi adapter?

The PICCO S2 pro has Wi-Fi onboard. Confirm this exact model before buying accessories; another PICCO receiver may have different hardware. A failed online app does not establish a faulty Wi-Fi module.
