Work through these checks
Confirm app pairing
Start with Node off. Hold its power button until the light flashes white, then tap Pair in the app. Look for Node details, battery and signal in the app header.
What the result means: No Node details: resolve pairing before diagnosing satellite reception.
Check the active workspace
Open Settings and Active Workspace. Confirm the intended team, then send a normal message to its workspace chat. Ask the administrator for the correct workspace invitation if missing.
What the result means: Pairing alone does not confirm membership in the correct workspace.
Identify the network used
Read the icon below the message: cellular/Wi-Fi, mesh or satellite. SmartRouting chooses an available route, so a successful online message does not prove the satellite path works.
What the result means: Record the icon alongside the delivery result for support.
Check orientation and satellite setting
In a safe open location, face the Somewear logo toward the sky, or outward when body-mounted. Avoid buildings, dense foliage and metal. Check the configured programmable-button function: it can toggle satellite connectivity or tracking.
What the result means: If pairing and workspace are correct but satellite messages fail, give support the signal reading, settings and message network icon.
When to stop and get help
Do not interrupt a team operation, disable other users’ equipment or reset managed hardware without the administrator. In a real emergency use your established emergency procedure.
What to tell support
Keep the current workspace and hardware settings recorded. Use an ordinary test message, never SOS, for troubleshooting.
Common questions
Does a delivered message prove satellite reception?
No. Check the network icon; the message may have used cellular, Wi-Fi or mesh.
