Iridium GO! exec not registering on the network

Check sky view, SIM and the device status before treating phone Wi-Fi as a satellite failure.

Applies to: Iridium GO! exec only; the older GO! uses a different app, SIM and accessories.

What you seeWhat to do next
Phone shows Wi-Fi but no internetThis can be normal before a satellite data session; check device status.
“Voice not provisioned” or no registrationCheck SIM, sky view and status; then provider.

Work through these checks

  1. Read device status, not Wi-Fi alone

Open the GO! exec status display. A phone warning that its Wi-Fi has “no internet” does not by itself mean the device is faulty: Iridium says there may be no active satellite data session yet. Use the GO! exec app, not the older GO! app.

What the result means: Wi-Fi association and satellite registration are separate.

  2. Check SIM and open sky

For registration, Iridium requires a valid SIM provisioned for GO! exec, the swivel antenna raised vertically and a broad unobstructed view of the sky. Try in a safe open area away from buildings, dense trees and terrain. Wait a few minutes; successful registration shows “Iridium” in the status bar and a slow flashing green LED.

What the result means: Without registration, a “voice not provisioned” message need not mean a broken radio.

  3. Retry satellite module once

If the unit was powered indoors and then carried outside, Iridium says to lower its internal antenna, cancel the power-off prompt, and raise it again. This restarts the satellite module without a factory reset. Wait for registration. If it still fails, ask the authorized service provider to check SIM activation and plan; do not assume an older GO! SIM will work.

What the result means: Persistent failure needs provider-side checks before replacing equipment.

When to stop and get help

Stop if there is battery damage, swelling, extreme heat or unsafe outdoor exposure. For urgent communications, use another available emergency means. An unregistered GO! exec requires an authorized service provider, not improvised antenna or SIM changes.

What to tell support

Exact screen message; status-bar name; LED state; SIM and plan confirmation; indoor/outdoor test; antenna retry result.

Common questions

Does “no internet” on phone Wi-Fi prove GO! exec is offline?

No. Iridium says the Wi-Fi can be connected before a satellite data session starts. Check the GO! exec status and Connection Manager.
