AX Multibox Twin: no picture or missing satellite channels

Identify the failed stage before changing a Multibox Twin receiver’s software or antenna settings.

Applies to: For AX Multibox Twin identified as TUN0137. Installed operating systems and menu names can differ; do not apply Combo or another Linux receiver’s firmware.

Match your symptom

What you seeWhat to do next
No receiver menuCheck the TV input and accessible display connections before investigating the dish.
Satellite channels work; an app failsUse network/application support for the installed system; this symptom alone does not justify changing LNB settings.

Work through these checks

  1. Confirm the receiver

Read the label and note the system already installed. If it is not TUN0137, use that model’s support instead.

What the result means: Matching identity allows this checklist; it does not authorize a firmware change.

  2. Check the TV picture path

Select the HDMI input used by the receiver and try to display its menu. Note TV-generated messages separately from receiver messages.

What the result means: Menu absent: resolve the display path first. Menu visible: continue with channel comparison.

  3. Compare satellite channels

Try a previously working channel without scanning or changing tuner settings. Record whether all satellite channels fail or only selected ones.

What the result means: Some working channels rule out total picture loss, but do not identify a failed part. Give the installer the channel names and exact messages.

When to stop and get help

Stop if there is heat, burning smell, damaged power wiring or unsafe antenna access. Request qualified help instead of opening the receiver or disturbing the shared distribution.

What to tell support

Record TUN0137, installed system/version, TV input, whether the menu is visible, affected channels and the exact message. Include whether the problem began after a software change; share sensitive account details only privately with the appropriate provider.

Common questions

Should I install new firmware immediately?

No. Confirm the exact receiver and system first, preserve settings and recordings, and use only an approved model-specific procedure. Another receiver’s image is not a safe reception test.
