HUMAX Combo 9000: channel numbers, status and reception

Use the original tivùsat procedures to distinguish a changed terrestrial/satellite numbering preference from a reception or card-information question, while preserving the existing channel lists.

Applies to: HUMAX Combo 9000 only, using tivùsat’s four-page Italian “Procedure utili”. No printed revision identifier was found; the PDF title contains 14Apr2010, which is not evidence of a current software release. This is a narrow procedure guide, not a full hardware manual, a different HUMAX model or a guarantee of present channels, cards or service.

Work through these checks

  1. Read the documented system identity

Use MENU → Sistema → Stato to read the existing system information, then EXIT. Page 1 lists historical software TWSTN 1.00.03 and System ID 1b26.1000 as its enabled version. Record what your receiver actually displays. Treat a mismatch as a scope/version question for support, not an instruction to install that old version or evidence that the box is defective.

What the result means: Support can match the exact procedure to the installed version before interpreting its menus or proposing any update.

  2. Check whether the channel moved between numbering groups

Use the existing channel list and any already known LCN preferito value; do not toggle it. Page 2 says terrestrial preference puts terrestrial channels at 1–999 and tivùsat at 1001–1999; tivùsat preference reverses those groups. Other satellite channels start at 2001 in both cases. Compare the affected channel’s name and group rather than assuming its former number must still select it. If the preference is unknown, record that instead of confirming a change.

What the result means: Finding the same saved service in another documented group supports a numbering explanation. It does not require erasing or rescanning the list, and the historical ranges do not promise any particular current channel lineup.

  3. Keep reception evidence separate from card information

For reception evidence, page 3 names MENU → Sistema → Rilevamento segnale. Record exactly the existing readings and affected service; the sheet gives no universal pass threshold. For card information, page 1 instead names MENU → Servizi Pay per View → Servizio TivùSat. That is an information screen, not an instruction to buy anything. Record the exact message privately without removing the card or changing its status.

What the result means: Support receives separate list, reception and card observations. A readable card screen does not prove good reception or current entitlement, and a signal reading alone does not establish that the selected service is authorised.

When to stop and get help

Do not follow the source’s terrestrial deletion/reinstallation, channel scan, LCN switch, factory reset or software-update procedures as a diagnostic test. Do not guess a PIN, remove a card or change dish/cabling. Preserve saved services and ask tivùsat or a qualified installer about current compatibility and unresolved reception or entitlement.

What to tell support

For private support, keep model, displayed software and System ID, channel name/number/group, any already known LCN preference, the exact signal-screen readings and card-related message. Explain which information could not be read without a change. Do not publish card numbers, account details or access codes.
