JUE-60GX: ANT, NET and the NSD service path

Separate satellite acquisition from network entry and service failure.

Applies to: JUE-60GX under manual 7ZPSC0584, BDE-Version 0100. Match the installed revision; this is not the JUE-251/501 FleetBroadband manual.

Work through these checks

  1. ANT is not green

Appendix E.2 separates missing GPS, obstruction and rain attenuation. Record GPS validity and conditions without changing antenna settings.

What the result means: Use read-only checks with the vessel administrator. Preserve exclusion zones; no roof/radome work, port swaps, factory reset or guessed settings.

  2. NET is not green

Record pointing direction, blockage, weather and provider-confirmed coverage. A transmission-prohibited sector is a separate condition; never remove it to restore connectivity.

What the result means: Use read-only checks with the vessel administrator. Preserve exclusion zones; no roof/radome work, port swaps, factory reset or guessed settings.

  3. NET is green but service fails

Appendix E.2 directs this case to the Network Service Device documentation. Preserve evidence before escalation; green NET does not diagnose the provider-managed service path.

What the result means: Use read-only checks with the vessel administrator. Preserve exclusion zones; no roof/radome work, port swaps, factory reset or guessed settings.

  4. Build a timed evidence trail before escalation

With authorized access, use Logs → Event Log to compare UTC timestamps for search, lock and network entry (5.4.3). Preserve the export and the time service failed. AC Monitor statistics cover the preceding six minutes, while its GPS entries are latest values (5.4.4); do not present them as instantaneous measurements taken together. In Syslog, Update refreshes the initially empty display (5.4.5.1); an empty first screen alone does not prove no events. Give logs privately to the distributor without clearing them or changing commissioning settings.

What the result means: Use read-only checks with the vessel administrator. Preserve exclusion zones; no roof/radome work, port swaps, factory reset or guessed settings.

When to stop and get help
