RedPort Aurora wXa-171-Aurora · Exact manual and safe first checks

RedPort Aurora wXa-171-Aurora · v2.0 · 18DEC2020

Applies to: RedPort Aurora wXa-171-Aurora · v2.0 · 18DEC2020

Work through these checks

  1. 01 · Firewall / Email / Web / Voice

In this edition, the default firewall permits Internet access through RedPort-certified services, rather than unrestricted traffic from every app. Record which email, web or voice function fails and the existing account or error indication. A blocked app alone is not proof of a radio fault. Do not open the firewall or activate a paid service as a test.

  2. 02 · Status / System Log / Realtime Graphs

With authorized access to the existing dashboard, read Status, System Log and Realtime Graphs. These read-only views distinguish Wi-Fi clients, recorded errors and interface traffic. Record the connected satellite terminal and its own status separately: local Wi-Fi does not prove satellite service. Preserve the evidence; do not disable the firewall, flash firmware, reset configuration or start traffic merely to test it.

When to stop and get help

Do not continue these checks in unsafe conditions. For immediate danger, use local emergency services and the device’s emergency instructions. Otherwise, contact your provider or a qualified technician.

What to tell support

Write down your exact model, service provider and on-screen message. Photograph the existing connections for your own reference before changing anything. RedPort Aurora wXa-171-Aurora · v2.0 · 18DEC2020
