Applies to: For the legacy iNex AMS508 identified on the label or installation record. Not an iNex dSCR setup. Confirm the receiving service and model before applying menu advice.

Work through these checks
Separate picture path from reception
Open the normal receiver menu on the selected TV input. If it is invisible, follow the receiver/TV connection guide. If visible, record the exact channel error; do not assume the shared antenna is responsible for every blank screen.
What the result means: Continue to reception checks only when the menu is visible.
Compare working and failing channels
Choose existing channels you normally watch. Note which still work and whether failures are constant or intermittent. Read available signal/error values without changing settings. Do not delete channels to rebuild the list; keep the evidence for the installer.
What the result means: A pattern helps diagnosis; it does not prove a particular input failed.
Establish whether the fault is shared
Ask another authorized user to observe their existing receiver, without moving shared cables. If the same channels fail in several rooms, give the building manager the comparison. If only your receiver fails, arrange checks of its own lead, outlet and configuration. The installer should confirm the LNB type and input map from installation records before altering anything.
What the result means: Escalate with the comparison; avoid replacing the switch on guesswork.
When to stop and get help
Stop for electrical damage, burning smells, unsafe access or water. Do not open the mains-powered switch, disturb grounding, move roof equipment or change communal input wiring. Request qualified help.
What to tell support
Give the installer model, service, affected rooms, exact channels, errors and first-failure time. Say what remains working and whether the problem followed an equipment change.
Common questions
Should I change the terrestrial power switch?
Do not treat that control as a general satellite repair. Ask the installer to identify its purpose in your installation before changing it.
