Confirm your model
Confirm AMS508 on the accessible label or installation records. Do not use this page for iNex dSCR products. A similar enclosure or the same provider name does not establish the switching type.
How it connects
- Installed LNB / aerial feeds Installer-controlled inputs
- AMS508 multiswitch Assigned subscriber output
- Subscriber receiver
The manual has different input arrangements for quad and quattro LNBs. Have the installer compare the actual equipment with that table; do not swap shared feeds or change the tone generator to guess the arrangement. Leave grounding and mains-powered distribution equipment to a qualified technician.
Lights and messages
- Compare the receiver’s existing signal/error screen for a known working and a failing channel. Note time and whether other receivers are affected. Those observations help localize the fault but do not prove the multiswitch is defective. Do not reset receivers or rescan the channel list as the first test.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Have the installer specify connectors, output termination and any replacement supply against the exact installation. Generic splitters and plug-compatible power supplies are not a compatibility check. Stop for unsafe access, damaged wiring or unusual heat.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
