Applies to: STRONG HD satellite receiver SRT7015. Other STRONG models have different ports or menus.
Match your symptom
| What you see | What to do next |
|---|---|
| TV cannot show receiver menu | Check TV input, power and HDMI first. |
| Menu shows, channels missing | Check antenna signal and indoor coax. |
Work through these checks
Verify TV path and power
STRONG’s SRT7015 table separates “no picture or sound on TV” from a receiver signal fault. Check the TV is on the correct HDMI/input, the receiver and TV are powered, the connection cable is secure and MUTE is off. If the receiver standby indicator is dark, check the supplied mains connection and switch.
What the result means: If the receiver menu appears, the TV path is working; move to satellite signal.
Check indoor antenna lead
If the receiver menu is visible but channels have no picture, read the receiver’s signal indicator and inspect the dry accessible cable at SAT IN for a loose connection. STRONG lists a missing or bad antenna cable among no-picture causes. Do not force connectors, cut the cable or work outdoors.
What the result means: A loose indoor cable can mimic a dish fault.
Escalate persistent low signal
If the cable is sound but receiver signal remains absent, STRONG lists tuner parameters and dish direction as further causes. Compare configuration only with the installation record or the exact SRT7015 instructions. Ask a qualified installer to measure and adjust the dish. STRONG warns not to open or disassemble the receiver.
What the result means: Do not factory-reset or buy an LNB solely because the screen is blank.
When to stop and get help
Stop at mains damage, wet wiring, open-receiver work, roof access or dish adjustment. Contact STRONG support or a qualified installer with the model and observed signal state.
What to tell support
SRT7015 label; whether TV can show receiver menu; TV input; standby light; SAT IN cable status; signal reading; weather.
Common questions
Does a black TV screen prove a satellite problem?
No. STRONG lists wrong TV input, power, cabling and mute separately from missing satellite signal. Check which device is generating the message.
