Work through these checks
Read the LCD stage without advancing it
Preserve the currently visible GPS, stored-position prompt, registration or provider display. Pages 14–15 separate acquiring a new fix, using stored coordinates and registration; the provider name appears after successful registration. The filled/outlined GPS indicator identifies new/stored position. Do not accept a stored position or press Enter to progress into pointing/registration just to recreate a screen.
What the result means: Position evidence and network registration are distinct. Report the first unresolved stage without treating stored coordinates as proof of a fresh fix or packet attachment as active data.
Use the existing local management path
Use the owner’s existing authorised Ethernet connection, console address and login. The original guide documents http://192.168.1.35 and different default usernames for older software, so preserve actual credentials instead of trying defaults. Read Settings → Terminal Info for installed identity and Setup → Terminal Info for current signal/GPS context. Green/grey console indicators mean active/inactive in this edition; neither a loaded page nor Ethernet-enabled icon proves an active satellite session.
What the result means: The owner can separate local access from satellite state while retaining the installed Router/Bridge and security policy. A failed login is not permission to reset or change the network.
Read the existing context without activating it
Open Data → Connection as a view. The original page separates no existing connection from an already connected context displaying APN and IP address. Leave Activate Default Profile and Disconnect untouched, and preserve the current profile and any full error. The LCD P icon is service attachment; use the connection page and separate active-packet indicator to describe the state already observed, without generating traffic.
What the result means: Support receives local-access, registration and context evidence separately. An APN/IP entry does not prove delivery of a particular application, and a saved profile is not an active session or current subscription approval.
When to stop and get help
Keep clear of the transmitting antenna; the manual requires 1 m from its front. Do not repoint, select stored GPS, advance registration, activate/deactivate profiles, alter Router/Bridge/APN/security, try PINs or send remote SMS commands to diagnose. Preserve any update underway. Damage and persistent faults require authorised service; do not reset or install historical software as a trial.
What to tell support
Privately retain label/software, original time, full LCD message, new/stored GPS indication, service-provider text, P/active-packet and Ethernet icons, local-page result and existing context/error. Redact position, IMEI, IMSI, subscriber number, APN credentials and addresses from public reports.
