Applies to: SRT 7408 only, following the French original with a visible 14 June 2024 date. Its TNTSAT use is documented for metropolitan France and Monaco. This historical manual does not establish current channel availability, card rights or service eligibility; do not transfer SRT 7006 or SRT 7009 procedures.
Work through these checks
Identify the displayed list before calling a channel lost
In normal viewing, OK displays the current channel list. Note whether the existing view is TV, radio, a favourite group or a satellite selection. The manual documents FAV1–FAV7 and Tous réseaux through LIST, and treats the TNTSAT service order differently from other channels. Read the current context without adding, sorting or deleting entries.
What the result means: An absence from one displayed group is different from an explicit access error on a listed channel. Preserve that distinction before any search or restoration of settings.
Read existing rights separately from receiver versions
For the original access message, use Carte à Puce → Consultation to read the card’s existing rights status; Boîte de message contains operator messages. Identification du terminal provides card address, serial and system/software/loader/hardware information. Configuration Systèmes → Information Système separately gives hardware and software versions. These are read-only observations, not instructions to renew, insert a card or change a PIN.
What the result means: Report the exact rights or operator message with the receiver edition. A card-information screen is not a signal test, and the historical manual cannot decide today’s entitlement.
Keep signal evidence distinct from the TV output
On the affected current channel, INFO opens the information banner; only while that banner is displayed, its green signal view shows transponder, audio/video PIDs, strength and quality. Record the values and original TV message without changing tuning. If no receiver menu is visible at all, record the selected TV input and installed HDMI or SCART path instead of assuming a card fault. The green key has other functions in a channel list, so keep the screen context explicit.
What the result means: Separate a receiver that cannot display its menus on the TV from one that displays menus but reports reception or access trouble. Preserve actual signal values for an installer and exact rights wording for the provider; no universal percentage threshold is established here.
When to stop and get help
Stop before Factory Settings, scans, channel deletion, firmware changes, card/PIN changes or dish/RF work. The original warns that factory settings erase installed channels and settings. Use the provider for current rights and a qualified installer for the reception path; do not repeatedly guess a PIN.
What to tell support
Keep the full message, affected channel, displayed list and TV/radio mode, hardware/software versions and existing rights status. Add current strength/quality, transponder and output connection when available. Card addresses and terminal serial numbers belong in a private support report, not a public screenshot.
