SHOUT nano 200: app connection or tracking route?

Bluetooth connection, allowed radio links and queued tracking reports are different stages. Diagnose the missing stage before changing configuration.

Applies to: SHOUT nano 200, Revision E, 451-25008-001E. Inspect the current configuration without altering operational radio-silence or geofence rules. This is not the original nano or nano 100.

Work through these checks

  1. Check the local app connection

White Bluetooth means enabled; green means connected. Note which icon is present alongside the app symptom.

What the result means: A local connection is not proof of satellite delivery. Separate app discovery from tracking arrival.

  2. Read Allowed and Primary separately

Record the displayed Configure Link choices. Treat an intentional restriction as an operational rule, not a hardware defect. Ask the operator what route was intended at the time; do not turn a radio on merely to see whether a missing report appears.

What the result means: Read-only checks for an installed, authorized system. Do not activate emergency, Man Down or transmission tests, clear logs, reset settings or override a restriction. Obtain the account operator’s help if a setting is locked or its purpose is unknown. Keep locations and IMEIs private.

  3. Identify the record being compared

Compare a tracking report with a tracking report, not with an unrelated text conversation. Keep a timeline of the device view and the authorized receiving-system view. Read Queue Reports, Block Reports and logging settings without changing them, then ask the operator to interpret the expected behavior for that configuration.

What the result means: Read-only checks for an installed, authorized system. Do not activate emergency, Man Down or transmission tests, clear logs, reset settings or override a restriction. Obtain the account operator’s help if a setting is locked or its purpose is unknown. Keep locations and IMEIs private.

  4. Preserve the configuration evidence

Save the manual identifier, app symptom, Bluetooth icon, displayed link selections and observation times privately. Have official support reconcile that record with the account operator before any firmware or equipment change. Keep a redacted public report separate from the full operational record.

What the result means: Read-only checks for an installed, authorized system. Do not activate emergency, Man Down or transmission tests, clear logs, reset settings or override a restriction. Obtain the account operator’s help if a setting is locked or its purpose is unknown. Keep locations and IMEIs private.
