| Receiver menu is missing | Confirm TV input and receiver operation before treating this as a satellite distribution fault. |
| Menu works; channels do not | Record whether one room, several rooms or only selected channels are affected; then continue below. |
Work through these checks
Compare the same channel
Ask whether the same channel works in another room on the installation. Record the time and exact error rather than relying on “the TV is broken.”
What the result means: One affected room narrows the report, but does not prove that its output or cable is faulty. Leave output swapping to the installer.
Record the visible LED
The dated AXING manual identifies green as operation, yellow as standby and red as an LNB short-circuit indication. Read it only from an already safe view.
What the result means: Red needs an installer to investigate the LNB wiring. Do not unplug feeds to locate the short. If you cannot see the LED safely, report it as unknown.
Compare standby with normal receiver use
Yellow is described for no connected or switched-on receiver. Note whether your own receiver is on during the observation. Do not change shared wiring to force a different colour.
What the result means: Give contradictory observations to the installer. Green alone does not prove that every channel reaches every room; avoid buying a replacement from that observation alone.
When to stop and get help
AXING reserves installation and repair for professionals. Stop at observation: no cover removal, mains work, output swaps, LNB rewiring or dish alignment. With damage, burning smell or water nearby, keep away and notify the responsible installer or building manager.
What to tell support
Send the complete model label, LED colour or “not safely visible,” receiver state, affected rooms, channel names and exact errors. Include when the fault began and any known changes. Ask for an installation diagnosis before approving new parts.
Common questions
Does red mean I should replace the multiswitch?
No. The documented indication concerns an LNB short circuit. It does not identify which component failed or authorize you to disconnect shared feeds. Give the observation to the installer for diagnosis.
