beIN HD Box IRHD1000S: no picture or bad signal

Applies to: beIN HD Box Type 1 IRHD1000S satellite receiver, not beIN STREAM or another box.

Work through these checks

  1. Confirm the TV path

The manual separates a dead receiver display from no picture. Check the supplied power connection and rear switch if present. Wake the box from standby, choose the TV input connected to the box and check the video cable. A visible beIN menu means the TV path works.

What the result means: If the menu is visible, diagnose the message rather than replacing the TV cable.

  2. Separate signal from card access

Read the exact message on a live channel. The IRHD1000S manual has separate tables for satellite “No or bad signal,” “No access” and card errors. Check Conditional Access in the menu only to see whether the card is recognized; do not disclose card numbers publicly. Ask beIN about subscription and card pairing.

What the result means: A card error is not evidence that the dish needs moving.

  3. Escalate a persistent reception fault

For “No or bad signal,” note the on-screen signal strength/quality and check only a dry accessible indoor SAT cable. Weather may temporarily weaken reception. If signal remains absent, have a qualified installer compare the exact dish/LNB configuration and measure the feed; the older manual lists alignment and LNB causes but these are not safe trial adjustments.

What the result means: Do not change LNB voltage, move the dish or reset the box based on one message.

When to stop and get help

Stop at damaged mains power, wet coax, roof access, dish work or uncertain card handling. Contact beIN or a qualified installer. Do not factory-reset an older receiver without confirming service and configuration.

What to tell support

IRHD1000S label, exact message, working channels, menu visibility, signal reading, card-recognition status and weather.

Common questions

Does “No access” mean poor satellite signal?

Not necessarily. The manual treats entitlement and card status separately. Confirm the current subscription with beIN.

Should I use Factory Default?

No as a first check. The 2015 manual says Factory Default erases configured data; confirm current support and installation settings first.
