The dish feed enters the receiver; a separate video cable connects it to the TV. A visible receiver menu confirms that TV path but does not prove satellite reception or card access.
Lights and messages
- Read the receiver’s exact message. “No or bad signal” is a reception branch; “No access” or card errors require subscription/card checks.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
