Identify this handsetSETTINGS > IP handsets lists local identities. Revision B supports four LAN handsets/smartphones, numbered 0501–0504, each with its own password. Record the affected entry without exposing credentials.
Inspect incoming-call permissionSETTINGS > IP handsets > Call settings can disable incoming calls per handset. Ask the administrator to confirm the intended setting; do not override vessel restrictions merely to make it ring.
Compare the existing SIP profileThe handset’s local number and password must match its terminal entry. Have the authorized administrator compare them privately using that handset’s manual. Preserve working phones and do not reset the terminal.

Work through these checks

  1. Identify this handset

SETTINGS > IP handsets lists local identities. Revision B supports four LAN handsets/smartphones, numbered 0501–0504, each with its own password. Record the affected entry without exposing credentials.

What the result means: Avoid another terminal’s numbering scheme.

  2. Inspect incoming-call permission

SETTINGS > IP handsets > Call settings can disable incoming calls per handset. Ask the administrator to confirm the intended setting; do not override vessel restrictions merely to make it ring.

What the result means: A disabled entry is not an antenna diagnosis.

  3. Compare the existing SIP profile

The handset’s local number and password must match its terminal entry. Have the authorized administrator compare them privately using that handset’s manual. Preserve working phones and do not reset the terminal.

What the result means: Report handset-specific failure.

When to stop and get help

Do not use emergency calls as a test or interrupt active vessel communications.

What to tell support
