SAILOR Fleet One

Maritime voice/data terminal with an installed tracking antenna and below-deck unit. Current plan coverage and authorization are separate from hardware registration.

Confirm your model

An installed SAILOR Fleet One maritime terminal, used with the vessel operator’s permission. This is not an EXPLORER land terminal, FleetBroadband model or Fleet Xpress system. Check the equipment label and current airtime plan. The cited hardware manual is revision B from April 2015; confirm current software behavior and service terms with your provider.

How it connects

  1. Installed maritime antenna Existing installed antenna feed
  2. Fleet One below-deck terminal Local Ethernet network
  3. Approved onboard LAN or access point
Simplified signal path, not an installation or rewiring diagram. Follow the linked manual for power connections, grounding and your exact hardware revision.

Use the vessel’s approved LAN or Wi-Fi connection and existing terminal address to open the local Dashboard. The manual’s local name is http://ut.bgan; 192.168.0.1 is its default address, which the installer may have changed. These are local addresses, not public websites. If the Dashboard cannot open but other onboard users can access it, investigate your permitted local connection with the onboard IT team before blaming the satellite antenna.

Lights and messages

  • Read the terminal status before starting a test. Ready means that the terminal has registered and can accept a service request; it is not proof of an active internet session. Data active indicates an established call or data session. Record the status and whether calls or other devices work, without making a paid call merely as a test.
  • Scanning, Searching and Registering describe different stages before Ready. No position fix means registration cannot complete without the position fix. Observe the displayed stage and any safe, obvious obstruction from an approved location; do not approach or uncover a transmitting antenna. If the stage remains stuck, give the operator the exact status and active event messages. Do not change preferred satellites or RF settings as a guess.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • Do not run Self test or reboot during ongoing communications: the manual says its self-test restarts the terminal and terminates calls and data sessions. Do not hold Reset, remove the SIM, disable vessel security controls or upload firmware as a first check. Stop for heat, damaged wiring, unsafe movement or antenna access. Routine internet troubleshooting must never trigger an emergency call or delay an urgent communication.
