Applies to: Nordnet Kit Satellite type K2, exact modem-interface guide Ed. 26.04. Nordnet distinguishes K2 from K1 by its rear dish adjustment mechanism and the supplied-kit record, not by a modem-generation claim. Do not apply K1/WE3100, L1 or older Tooway procedures to this K2 kit. Existing subscription and installation eligibility remain provider decisions.
Work through these checks
22.3.11: preserve the gateway-transmit failure
The exact K2 appendix (page 28) defines “Unable to transmit successfully to the Gateway” as difficulty communicating with the Eutelsat platform. It lists interference and the physical coax path among possible investigation areas, not a uniquely identified bad modem. Record the original error and already known nearby interference or cable damage. Leave powered-RF checks and connector work to qualified support rather than copying the installation repair recipe.
What the result means: Support receives a communication-stage failure and its context, not an assumed subscription, Wi-Fi or single-component diagnosis.
22.3.24: distinguish the registered location
Page28 explains “Registration failed because terminal move not allowed”: registration supplies coordinates different from the first installation’s coordinates. Preserve the displayed values and the original provider-supplied installation record for a private comparison. A customer address change, kit movement or data-entry error needs Nordnet’s confirmation; do not guess coordinates, bypass the restriction or launch RE-INSTALL.
What the result means: This is a location-registration branch, distinct from weak local Wi-Fi or a general gateway-transmit error.
ACT-1104: preserve beam-selection context
Page29 ties ACT-1104 on the subscription-activation page to an incorrect beam number selected earlier. Record that exact page and compare only already available beam information with Nordnet’s original data. A page that never opens is a separate case: this appendix also describes an expected five-minute wait after the activation link. Retain what actually happened and elapsed time; do not submit activation, change the beam or retry installation to manufacture another result.
What the result means: Nordnet can distinguish a beam-assignment error from an unopened portal or a location restriction without changing the customer’s installed system.
When to stop and get help
Do not select RE-INSTALL, edit location/beam, enter activation credentials, reset, disable VPN/security, move dish parts or re-crimp coax for this diagnosis. Do not open equipment or change power supplies. Damaged/wet cables, unsafe access or unresolved gateway faults need qualified Nordnet support.
What to tell support
Privately record K2, modem/box labels, original time, exact code and full wording, screen stage and any already known move or equipment change. Keep original location/beam values for Nordnet comparison without publishing them or supplying a new guessed value.
