Applies to: Bell Satellite TV Slim remote only; not Bell Fibe, a legacy SAT-button remote or a universal remote.
Match your symptom
| What you see | What to do next |
|---|---|
| Channels work, volume does not | Use TV programming, not receiver code 0006. |
| TV works, channels do not | Check Slim receiver programming and compatibility. |
Work through these checks
Check batteries and the clear path
Replace the AAA batteries as a matching set, following the compartment polarity. Remove obstacles and test near the receiver. Stop for leakage, heat or damaged contacts.
What the result means: Do not open the receiver.
Restore Slim receiver control
On the correct Slim model, hold Options for three seconds to get two green flashes; enter 0006 and check for two more flashes. Test the guide or channel buttons. If unsuccessful, use Bell’s model-specific remote-address instructions; record the existing address before changing it.
What the result means: Do not use a legacy SAT-button sequence on Slim.
Set up TV control separately
If channels respond but TV power or volume does not, open the official Slim TV-code list below and follow Bell’s TV programming section for your television. Test power, volume and mute after saving. Receiver code 0006 is not a TV-brand code.
What the result means: A working TV button does not prove receiver control.
When to stop and get help
Contact Bell if correct batteries and Slim programming fail. Ask for a replacement compatible with both the receiver and required functions. Do not reset the satellite installation, disturb roof wiring or buy based only on a similar photo.
What to tell support
Record the two model labels, functions that fail, green-light response, existing remote address and steps tried. Do not share account passwords or activation codes.
