For the RockSTAR tracker with the integrated menu described in the linked documentation. Not RockSTAR Burst, RockAIR or RockFLEET. Match the device and menu first.
How it connects
- RockSTAR device Satellite message path
- Iridium message network Managed delivery path
- Account and intended recipient
GPS location acquisition and Iridium message delivery are separate functions. Match the account’s tracking arrangement before changing configuration; map visibility alone does not prove a particular message reached its recipient.
Lights and messages
- Start with the display and preserve evidence. A blank screen alone does not prove the tracker is off. Record the visible status, battery, In/Out counts and time before changing anything. Compare the current mode with the owner’s intended setup. A queued message is a different observation from a message that left the device but did not reach its recipient. Ask the account administrator to help distinguish those cases.
- The charging reference describes a flashing red keypad LED and an estimated seven to eight hours for a full charge. Record charger, starting percentage and elapsed time; those estimates do not diagnose battery health. Stop charging a damaged, swollen or unusually hot device and contact support.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Use the exact model’s charging and accessory documentation; do not assume RockSTAR Burst or another tracker uses interchangeable parts. Confirm app and hardware version with support before buying accessories.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
