Confirm your model

Check HDR-1100S on the label. This is a recorder; the similarly named HB-1100S is a different model.

Record whether one or both satellite inputs are connected before diagnosing recording conflicts. Keep working feeds in their original positions.

Lights and messages

  • Compare live TV and an existing recording. Failure of only one function is useful evidence; do not erase recordings as a first check.
  • Freesat removed backward-guide and Showcase features from affected HDR-1100S devices in August 2025. Those missing services alone do not prove hardware failure.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • Use the exact receiver’s remote and power-supply specification. Have an installer confirm LNB compatibility when moving from another satellite system.
