H30FLEX Satellite Test fails: check the plan and SCR slot

Avoid moving a dish because a meter used the wrong plan, user band or quality profile.

Applies to: H30FLEX satellite measurements at an accessible documented test point. Options and reference numbers vary.

Work through these checks

  1. Confirm the satellite plan

In Setup, select Sat band and the intended satellite plan. Choose current transponders in Satellite Test; an old channel entry may no longer be transmitted.

What the result means: A failed test can be a plan mismatch, not a moved dish.

  2. Check LNB and switching

Compare Universal/C Band/Other, oscillator and DiSEqC selection with the installation record. Never guess supply settings on an unfamiliar shared system.

What the result means: These settings determine which signal the meter receives.

  3. Match the assigned SCR slot

For a single-cable system, compare multiswitch, standard, slot and frequency. The active SCR icon identifies the selected slot; subsequent tuning changes apply to that slot.

What the result means: Do not overwrite another receiver’s allocation.

When to stop and get help

Stop for supply alarms or unknown communal wiring. If settings match but no current carrier locks, give the results to an installer; do not climb or move the dish as a test.

Record reference, firmware, test point, plan, transponders, LNB type, SCR allocation and measured quality/profile.

Common questions

Should I change the geographic area to fix a plan?

Export customer plans first. The manual warns that changing area removes existing channel plans. Adding a repository plan is a different operation.
