Confirm your model
Check the GSP-2900 installation label and service-provider records. Its legacy user guide covers GSP-2800/2900; it is not the GSP-1700 handheld or a SPOT messenger.
How it connects
- Indoor tone-dial telephone Use the designated indoor telephone socket
- Installer-provided telephone jack and junction box Provider-installed cabling, power and grounding
- Outdoor radio antenna unit and satellite network
The indoor phone normally connects through an RJ-11 two-wire interface. Do not connect the satellite telephone wiring to a public telephone line or modify outdoor components. All extensions share one satellite call at a time.
Lights and messages
- No dial tone: first check the accessible indoor telephone connection. Busy/reorder tone is a different symptom and can involve the destination, capacity or account.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Use a compatible tone-dial telephone and the installer-approved supply. The manual limits all connected phones to 5 REN in total. Antenna, grounding, junction-box and backup-battery work belongs to an authorized technician; do not use the system during a thunderstorm.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
Model-specific parts: start with the official source
