Confirm your model
Confirm iQ5 on the box label and match the rear connectors with the official iQ5 diagram. Foxtel Now Box, iQ4 and commercial Business iQ are different products. Note whether your existing service uses a dish or internet. An absent satellite cable is not automatically a fault on an internet installation.
How it connects
- Existing satellite / internet service Installed reception path
- iQ5 · separate aerial input HDMI cable
- HDMI → TV input
The setup diagram distinguishes two Foxtel satellite cables, a separate optional TV aerial cable, HDMI and the supplied power pack. Switch the TV and box off at the wall before handling connections, as Foxtel instructs. Preserve the installed satellite connections. Do not confuse the aerial socket with the two threaded satellite sockets or install a splitter to combine them. Internet delivery can work without a dish; an aerial is a separate reception path.
Lights and messages
- F1027 concerns free-to-air aerial reception, not a diagnosis of dish alignment. Record the exact error and whether paid Foxtel channels still work.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Match replacement power supplies and remotes to iQ5 through Foxtel. The supplied aerial adaptor is not a universal satellite fitting. Leave roof access, antenna repairs and damaged power equipment to qualified help.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
