Confirm your model
ELSYS SATMAX 5, model ETRS70, in an existing Brazilian installation. Match the label and the service shown by the receiver. SATMAX PLUS and SATMAX 6 are different models; do not install their files or treat an activation message as proof of a broken receiver.
How it connects
- Installed dish Existing RF feed
- SATMAX 5 ETRS70 HDMI or AV
- Television
The installed antenna feed enters the RF connector. HDMI or AV connects to the matching television input; the USB socket supports media/recording functions. Green steady means the receiver is on, red steady standby; red alternating with green can indicate remote commands. These lights do not prove satellite authorization.
Lights and messages
- First distinguish the receiver picture from the satellite service. A working SATMAX menu or free-to-air channel with only regional channels blocked points toward an activation or channel-availability check. A TV input with no receiver menu needs a display/power check first. Neither symptom justifies a factory reset as the first step.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Confirm that receiver channel/menu buttons still work, then test a television key separately. The supplied intelligent remote has a programmable TV group; copying a TV command is different from pairing the receiver or changing its channel list. Match the SET key and layout shown in the ETRS70 guide before starting.
