Applies to: SELFSAT SNIPE PLATINUM · original PI box · Original SNIPE PLATINUM user manual V1.0; PI box and WP/WM remote, not PLATINUM 2
Work through these checks
01 · SELFSAT SNIPE PLATINUM · original PI box
Match the exact model, product code and manual edition. Record the existing connections, status indicators and displayed error without changing them. Preserve settings and stored data; do not reset, flash software, format storage or alter wiring as a first check. Keep account details, device identifiers and precise location private.
02 · to unit / to STB / HOME / POWER / STB / SET / WP / WM / MAC / BT
Match original SNIPE PLATINUM and its V1.0 PI box, not PLATINUM 2. Identify to unit and to STB paths without swapping cables. Note blue HOME and red POWER indicators. POWER flashing when the STB remains on can explain why the PI box will not switch off; do not force a power cut. A remote display can sleep after fifteen seconds; SET is the documented wake button. Ordinary remote pairing uses WP, while WM is for special operations; keep the actual MAC private and preserve the existing pairing. Record the selected satellite and receiver message. Do not reset BT pairing, flash, force mechanisms or change vehicle wiring; verify safe stow before travel.
