Separate antenna acquisition, SWM receiver distribution and safe stowing on the original SK-SWM3.

Confirm your model

Winegard TRAV’LER SK-SWM3, manual 2452282 Rev6 7-16. This historical DIRECTV SWM RV documentation is not SK-1000 guidance or confirmation of current receivers, programming or coverage. Use while stationary.

How it connects

A separate power/control cable joins the mount to the interface DC OUT/ANT. COMM. port. The receiver RF path uses mount port C, a SWM power inserter and, where needed, a splitter. The manual gives two distribution layouts; it excludes ports A and B from receiver/inserter connections. Even one receiver still needs the inserter.

Lights and messages

  • Searching is an acquisition stage; an asterisk marks each satellite found in the manual’s 99°/101°/103° sequence. A dark interface after an emergency power-off does not establish that the antenna is stowed.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • The original parts list includes the interface, its supply, SWM power inserter, splitter and supplied cables. CL-SK26 control-cable extension and SKA-004 rubber-roof roller plate are separate options; they are not universal replacement recommendations.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
