Thuraya One Android dual-mode handset, using the original TSSUserGuide_final guide and February 2025 satellite tips. The guide does not print a revision identifier. These instructions do not apply to X5-Touch, XT-PRO DUAL or SatSleeve hardware.
How it connects
The SIM settings assign the phone’s SAT and GSM services independently; the selected call or message action chooses the outgoing network. For SAT, the phone’s own fully extended antenna needs an unobstructed direction to the satellite. The guide’s mobile-data control belongs to cellular GSM service, while MMS attachments are cellular-only. Do not treat a working local app or cellular data session as proof of satellite registration.
Lights and messages
- An exclamation mark can indicate that location update or network search is not complete. Wait for it to disappear before using calls or messages; record a persistent state rather than repeatedly dialing.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The original package list includes a protective cover, USB-C-to-USB-C cable, USB-A-to-USB-C adapter and SIM tray pin. Compare the actual supplied items with that list; it is not a claim that every used or regional package contains them. Avoid a metallic cover or metallic sticker over the antenna area, which the guide identifies as a possible connectivity problem.
