Original Tailgater · PN 193249

Original Tailgater PN 193249: separate the receiver-powered antenna path, reception or guide errors, and authorization or local-channel restrictions.

Confirm your model

Original Tailgater depicted in the DISH-hosted User’s Guide with printed PN 193249, manufactured by King Controls. No printed revision date was identified. Match that document and enclosure, not a later Tailgater Pro, 4 or VQ4400/VQ4500 guide. Its United States satellite and receiver context is historical; current receiver compatibility, service and coverage require separate confirmation.

How it connects

  1. Original Tailgater RG-6 → SATELLITE IN
  2. DISH HD Solo receiver Receiver TV output
  3. TV
Simplified signal path, not an installation or rewiring diagram. Follow the linked manual for power connections, grounding and your exact hardware revision.

The original path is Tailgater coax → the receiver’s SATELLITE IN → the receiver’s separate TV output. The supplied RG-6 carries operating power from the receiver to the antenna. HDMI is one TV-output option in the original, not a socket on the antenna. The manual’s green power lamp belongs to the receiver front panel; it is not an antenna lock indicator.

Lights and messages

  • Record the whole message: 015 Complete Signal Loss, 151 No Satellites Found and 004 Channel Signal Loss concern reception or tracking. 023 No Program Guide concerns acquiring the guide signal. The original distinguishes these from authorization 005/013/014, local-area 120/536 and event blackout 744. A number from another generation should not be substituted.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • The original package contains the antenna, a 50-foot RG-6 coax cable, User’s Guide and Quick Reference Guide. It separately lists a DISH Network HD Solo receiver, TV, receiver-to-TV cables and subscription as required items, not supplied antenna accessories. The padlock and security cable shown for theft protection are also not included; this does not approve a later receiver or mounting bracket.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
