Confirm your model
Read SRT 7009 on the label. It is not a TNTSAT, FRANSAT or tivùsat smartcard receiver. STRONG lists this model as end of life, but still publishes manuals; check upgrade availability with STRONG before buying recording accessories.
How it connects
- Installed satellite system Installed coax and LNB configuration
- SRT 7009 · SAT IN Select the connected TV input
- TV · HDMI or SCART
Keep the installed LNB and switch settings. SatCR user-band assignments must be unique on a shared system, and the manual says SatCR cannot be combined with other DiSEqC functions. Ask the installer rather than guessing user bands or moving a motorized dish.
Lights and messages
- Red front standby indicator means standby; green means on. A scrambled-channel message is not proof of a dish fault. Select a known free-to-air service before altering reception settings.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Use the approved supply and remote. FAT/FAT32 storage and sufficient write speed are required by the manual; USB compatibility is not guaranteed. Back up before any formatting. Never install another model’s firmware or open the receiver.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
