SPOT X

Two-way satellite messenger, message-status icons and SPOT X-specific manuals.

Confirm your model

Look for the SPOT X screen and keyboard. It can receive replies; the screenless SPOT Gen4 is one-way. Confirm whether your X has the Bluetooth version before using its manual.

How it connects

  1. SPOT X Open sky and antenna
  2. Satellite and GPS Sent, unconfirmed or failed
  3. Recipient / SPOT account
Simplified signal path, not an installation or rewiring diagram. Follow the linked manual for power connections, grounding and your exact hardware revision.

SPOT X sends through its satellite network and can fetch replies. A sent icon does not prove the recipient read a text; a question-mark icon means delivery was not confirmed. Check MyAccount and the recipient route separately.

Lights and messages

  • SPOT says a check-mark bubble means sent, a question-mark bubble means sent but delivery unconfirmed, and an X bubble means not sent.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • Charge with a compatible SPOT X cable before a planned trip. Do not buy a new antenna or device because a recipient’s SMS carrier blocked a message.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.

Model-specific parts: start with the official source

Confirm the exact model and part number with the manufacturer or provider before buying any replacement part or accessory.
