Gen4 sends a configured message through the satellite network to saved recipients. It does not receive replies.

Lights and messages

  • Check In sent is not the same as recipient delivery. Confirm the message in the SPOT account and with the recipient.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • Use the battery type specified in the Gen4 guide. Do not buy a two-way messaging accessory expecting Gen4 to receive replies.
