Original SAILOR 100 GX documented by 98-141779-B, 15 December 2014, for ADU/ACU software 1.49. This is an observation guide for an already commissioned installation and its authorized operator, not installation instructions. Do not transfer it to GX-R2, High Power or later firmware without matching documentation.
How it connects
- ADU antenna Single 50-ohm coax
- ACU controller RF and modem-control links
- GX modem unit
The above-deck antenna (ADU) connects to the antenna control unit (ACU) through one 50-ohm coax carrying power, data and control. The separate GX modem unit (GMU) has its own RF/control links to the ACU. In this edition the user’s internet equipment connects to the ACU, not directly to the GMU. Identify all three unit labels and preserve the installed cable and port assignments.
Lights and messages
- Read Power, Logon and Fail/Pass by name. Green Power is supply OK; green Logon is a satellite link; green Fail/Pass means no faults detected. Flashing red Fail/Pass means an active warning or failure and the event appears in the ACU display. The GMU has no physical front-panel LEDs; its status is read through the ACU Modem menu.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The manual lists the SAILOR 6080 AC/DC supply as an option for the DC-powered ACU; the separate GMU uses AC power in this edition. These are distinct power paths, not interchangeable supply recommendations. Obtain exact unit and cable approval from the marine service partner. No ACU internal parts are user-replaceable, and ADU module replacement is restricted to the authorized service partner.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
