Ocean Signal rescueME PLB3 · 912S-03718 Issue 01.02 · 2025-07-03. These pages cover PLB1, PLB3, EPIRB1 and EPIRB3 / EPIRB1 Pro / EPIRB2 Pro / EPIRB3 Pro / E100 / E100G only. Pro versions and country protocols require their own documentation. A country filter does not confirm approval or registration.

How it connects

PLB3 NFC lets a compatible phone read programmed details and the latest test results; it is not Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Separate 406 MHz and AIS indications. RLS confirms that an alert was received, located and routed, not that a rescue mission has launched. RLS configuration depends on the country protocol and is not user-changeable. Basic beacon tests, GNSS tests and rescue acknowledgements answer different questions. Preserve existing results and their time; a successful test does not verify the owner registration. This is a non-emergency inspection. Do not activate distress transmission, open the case or start extra tests for this guide. In real danger, follow the exact official emergency instructions.
