Match the original SHOUT ts touchscreen and installed software to 451-92854-001B, Version B, 11 March 2022. This is not SHOUT nano, nano 200 or SHOUT tw coverage. The current manufacturer link sits in a ts/tw download path, but the actual PDF cover and body identify SHOUT ts Version B; the URL is not evidence of a later or shared revision.
How it connects
The SHOUT ts uses its internal Iridium 9602 SBD module to send messages and GPS reports to a provisioned Network Operation Center (NOC). The NOC handles the configured response/forwarding logic. USB Micro-B is a separate local interface for the supplied cable, software updates and parameter setup; it is not a phone Bluetooth or general internet connection.
Lights and messages
- An Iridium icon crossed by a diagonal line can simply mean the transceiver is off between transmissions. GPS and Iridium have separate status symbols. The Outbox symbol can mean either queued messages or failed dequeued messages; inspect the individual message symbols instead of treating the top icon as a delivery verdict.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The manual lists the AC wall adaptor and USB-A to USB Micro-B cable as included accessories. SatTerm and the configured NOC are separate setup dependencies: contacts/canned-message short codes must match the NOC lookup table. The manual’s demonstration mapping server is expressly demo-only, not a promised production monitoring service.
