Standard Precision MXL012/55/65/75 family, using original MXL012INS Issue 10 in English and German. No separate publication date is identified. Twin observations apply only to an installed Twin variant; the isolated model-code typo in the connection page does not establish another model. Precision I.D, Sky Q variants and Waterways need their own documents.
How it connects
- Precision dish and LNB Installed coax path
- Satellite receiver SCART or HDMI
- TV
The dish coax connects to a satellite receiver or a TV with its own satellite tuner; a separate receiver then connects to the TV by SCART or HDMI. The manual shows single and Twin arrangements. On the documented Twin kit, the integrated finder is wired to the top output, so a receiver on the other output need not produce finder activity. This does not justify changing a working cable path.
Lights and messages
- A high finder tone with many LEDs is not confirmation of the correct satellite. With the finder knob fully anticlockwise it is intentionally silent with only a green light; the manual says leaving it inline does not affect signal quality. The receiver’s own quality/lock information answers a different question from the finder’s tone.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- Issue 10 shows the dish, tripod, separate dish and tripod bags, 10 m F-to-F cable, compass and ground pegs. A TV and satellite receiver, or a TV with satellite tuner, are additional equipment. Its weatherproof vehicle-entry socket is an optional extra, with separate single and Twin versions; the manual does not establish interchangeability with Sky Q or Precision I.D hardware.
