Manhattan Plaza HD-S receiver, original user guide marked v1.7 on the back cover. This is not the recording model Plaza HDR-S, DS-100A or SX. No publication date is printed in the identified revision. Old channel numbers, catch-up services, social accounts and support numbers are historical; this page does not promise those services still work.
How it connects
The dish coax terminates at LNB IN. HDMI feeds an HD-ready TV; TV SCART is the separate non-HD television output and VCR SCART serves an external video/DVD recorder. Optical S/PDIF carries audio. RJ-45 is a broadband-network connection, not the satellite feed, and USB is documented for receiver software upgrades only. This receiver is not documented as a USB personal video recorder.
Lights and messages
- In MENU → General → Information, read the actual Signal Lock, Signal Strength and Signal Quality together with model, hardware and software. The same screen includes the IP address: the manual treats a displayed four-part address as evidence of the local network link, not proof that an online service is available. Keep signal observations separate from the Ethernet/network observation.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The rear-panel drawing separates the supplied-power connection from LNB IN, HDMI, the two SCART sockets and optical audio. An external recorder needs its own SCART connection and selected input; a USB storage device is not a documented substitute. Match accessories to this HD-S arrangement rather than borrowing HDR-S recording instructions.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
