KING Quest VQ4100 using the power-injector arrangement in owner manual 21961 Revision C (2015). This is a historical document, not confirmation of today’s DIRECTV channels, account eligibility or receiver compatibility. VQ4100-OE and UC1000 installations require their matching instructions; do not combine procedures.
How it connects
For the historical power-injector setup, trace antenna MAIN through the power injector to the primary receiver, then the receiver’s output to the TV. AUX is a separate secondary-receiver path. Read the actual port markings and diagram; do not add the UC1000 into the injector path, since its arrangement replaces the injector and uses separate instructions.
Lights and messages
- The power injector’s lit LED is a power observation, not proof of satellite lock or a paid channel being authorized. Record separately whether the antenna moves/scans, whether a satellite is found and what the receiver or TV actually displays. Revision C separates no scan, scan without satellite and scan without picture in its troubleshooting table.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The optional UC1000 controller is a replacement for the power injector, not an additional inline power accessory. Its service and receiver arrangements need the matching controller instructions and current provider confirmation. A second receiver uses the antenna’s AUX path in this owner manual; do not infer that a splitter, SWM adapter or unrelated controller is supported from a matching coax plug.
