This page follows KING manual 23435 Rev C for KOP4800 units manufactured on or after 16 November 2020. Its cover is specifically for DISH receivers other than Wally, ViP211z, ViP211k, ViP211 and 411. Those receivers, earlier units, Bell and DIRECTV require different manuals. Check the base manufacturing label and receiver model; this 2021 manual is not confirmation of current service eligibility or channel availability.
How it connects
The antenna MAIN output goes to ANT on the KING power inserter; REC then feeds SAT IN on the main receiver, which supplies the TV picture. AUX is a separate coax path to an optional second receiver, not a second independently aimed dish. Read the installed labels before comparing failures. Keep the system stationary and do not disconnect powered coax as a test.
Lights and messages
- A power-inserter indication, a physical scan, receiver-reported satellite acquisition and a TV picture are separate observations. Record all four, including the actual receiver message and installed mode, without changing modes to fit this historical guide.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The manual lists TR1000 tripod, MB500 and MB160 mounting options, MB700 quick-release roof kit and CB1000 carry bag. It explicitly excludes the MB100 bracket. These are documented options, not proof of current stock or suitability for another KING antenna. Window/hanger mounting is for stationary use; receiver and extra AUX coax are separate from the antenna.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
