Evolution X3 hardware and installed iDX 3.3 LED meanings only. Hardware: E0000451-0001 Rev C, 27 June 2008; LEDs: T0000611 Rev A, 31 July 2014. Earlier tables differ. Confirm the installed release with the operator; these archives do not establish current activation or firmware compatibility.
How it connects
LAN A connects customer Ethernet to a hub or switch. The separate RJ45 CONSOLE is RS232 service, not another LAN. RX In receives from the LNB and TX Out feeds the BUC through distinct RF paths that can carry power. Identify installed labels without disconnecting or rewiring.
Lights and messages
- In the iDX 3.3 X3 table, POWER green means valid input and STATUS green normal operation. STATUS off means power off or DRAM test; flashing green means that test failed. STATUS red covers software, hardware, configuration or self-test faults. The older hardware LED table does not apply here.
- RX yellow, flashing yellow and green distinguish no carrier lock, carrier lock without NCR lock, and both locks. Steady NET green means in-network. TX yellow means enabled but muted; green means enabled and not muted. These stages do not prove delivery of a particular application’s data.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The 2008 manual describes typical installations and variable ordered bundles, not a universal retail box. It lists a rack tray and Ethernet cable alongside site-specific antenna/RF equipment. Match the installed order and operator-approved components; do not infer generic cable, BUC, LNB or supply interchangeability.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
