Confirm your model
Match the HN7000S label and retain System Info: Site ID, serial number, Software Date and Software Release privately. The shared manual’s HN7700S serial, dial-backup and dual-Ethernet features are excluded. This archived edition does not establish current service eligibility.
How it connects
One Ethernet LAN port connects the local computer or network. Separate SAT IN receive and SAT OUT transmit coaxial paths connect the antenna; DC IN is the supply connection. The console runs inside the terminal. Wi-Fi needs separate network equipment. Observe the installed paths without moving connections.
Lights and messages
- LAN on means an Ethernet connection; SYSTEM on means communication with the network operations centre. TRANSMIT blinking mostly on indicates data, mostly off indicates ranging. RECEIVE blinking indicates received data. POWER flashing means fallback.bin backup software, not ordinary traffic.
- The System Status button is separate from the front LEDs. Orange is the historical Fair Access Policy indication; yellow is degraded operation requiring its detailed fields. Web Acceleration may be inactive during HTTPS browsing in this edition, so that field alone does not establish a failed satellite path.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- A separate Ethernet hub or router can serve additional local clients; neither is built into this single-port modem. Preserve the installed matched supply and antenna assembly. This page establishes no replacement power supply, radio or cable compatibility.
These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
