NEO Pandora V8001N, the 39 cm universal single-output model identified in the original NEO manual. Not the earlier Pandora V8001, a four-output or dCSS model, or an automatic-skew variant. No printed revision/date was identified; 2021 in the download path is not an edition claim. Current decoder, channel and service compatibility remain separate.
How it connects
- NEO Pandora antenna Antenna coax → ANTENNA IN
- Control unit RECEIVER OUT → receiver
- Satellite receiver
For this single-output installation, the antenna coax reaches ANTENNA IN on the control unit; RECEIVER OUT leads to the satellite receiver through the documented 1.5 m coax. Pandora V8001N has a specific 12 V supply exception in the shared diagrams; do not apply the other models’ generic converter instructions or reverse the two coax paths. Bluetooth connects the app locally, not the receiver’s programme feed.
Lights and messages
- In normal acquisition, red means searching, orange means checking the found satellite and green confirms the selected satellite. Orange verification may take up to 30 seconds. Alternating red/green in that operating context indicates a disconnected antenna or fault, not a request to change satellites. After about two stationary minutes the verified antenna can enter automatic standby; quiet motors alone are not a failed search.
A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.
Before buying parts
- The single-output parts list names control unit 4.120.0321, a 10 m antenna/control cable V9140/10 and a 1.5 m receiver cable V9143; the receiver is not supplied. It explicitly says the listed DC/DC converter is not required for NEO Pandora V8001N. Confirm exact installed parts rather than assuming a dCSS receiver, multi-output kit or converter from another NEO model fits.
