Dreambox DM900 ultraHD

Dreambox OS receiver with separate HDMI IN and HDMI OUT. Identify its installed satellite, cable or terrestrial tuner before following reception instructions.

Confirm your model

Read DM900 ultraHD on the receiver. Check the fitted tuner: the manufacturer lists dual DVB-S2, dual DVB-C/T2 and triple variants. The case alone does not identify the reception system. Do not use DM920, ONE or TWO firmware or assume that a cable-only tuner receives a satellite dish.

How it connects

  1. Matching installed signal feed LNB IN for satellite / RF for cable or aerial
  2. DM900 fitted tuner HDMI OUT → TV HDMI input
  3. TV input
Simplified signal path, not an installation or rewiring diagram. Follow the linked manual for power connections, grounding and your exact hardware revision.

Connect the television to HDMI OUT, not HDMI IN. The HDMI IN socket receives an external source and is not the receiver’s picture output. Leave existing dish wiring and LNB/DiSEqC settings unchanged while checking the display path. Disconnect power before handling accessible cables. LAN, USB and the service port are separate functions, not substitutes for the antenna feed.

Lights and messages

  • Front-display activity does not prove the TV is on the correct HDMI input. A visible receiver menu separates a display-path problem from a missing broadcast channel.

A light is one clue, not a complete diagnosis. Match the indicator’s label and the on-screen message.

Before buying parts

  • Wi-Fi support and an internal 2.5-inch drive are optional in the product description. Do not buy a generic tuner, power supply or Wi-Fi adaptor on the strength of the DM900 name alone; confirm the exact part and software support. Preserve recordings before drive initialization.

These are compatibility notes and official reference links. Confirm the fault and exact part before buying.
